Double Basketweave Cowl knit kit
My Double Basketweave Cowl knitting pattern is one of my favorites and thus one of the first I'm offering as a kit! It's an easy-to-memorize, worked-in-the-round, knits-and-purls stitch pattern. Combine that with Sincere Sheep's Cormo Sport yarn — a naturally dyed, bouncy and luscious wool, held double — and what you've got is comfort knitting. It's also a project suitable for newer knitters. Can be worn in a single or doubled loop around the neck.
(Read more about this yarn on the blog!)
We're offering the kit in two color options: Anja (indigo-dyed* semi-solid) and Bare (undyed/natural). Either of them will look great for years to come.
The kit itself makes a great gift for a knitter, or use it to knit a finished cowl for yourself or a loved one.
- designed by Karen Templer and professionally tech-edited
- this is a knitting kit (not a finished cowl)
- kit contains one printed pattern and two skeins of sport-weight yarn (4 oz/400 yards each) in a Fringe Supply muslin project bag
- yarn is undyed or naturally dyed, 100% Cormo, raised and milled in the US
No two monitors display color the same, and no two skeins of hand-dyed yarn are identical either. The real color may vary slightly from what you see on your screen.
*When using indigo-dyed yarn, as with a new pair of blue jeans, there will be some color transfer. Expect your hands to turn slightly blue while knitting (it washes right off) and for the soak water to turn blue when blocking the finished piece. After that, the dye should be set.
